When I was a little girl, I decided that I wanted to make the world a better place. — and the way that I would do that is to make beautiful things. Though this may sound naïve to the adult mind, here I am, many years later, with a bit of that idealism still intact.
I believe there is good reason that our Creator tells us:
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. (Phil. 4:8)
For when we do this, it strengthens our hearts — and brings us peace.
To offer beauty, harmony and peace to busy, hard-working people by helping them bring the serenity of nature into their homes and by providing unique gifts for their family and friends.
I enjoy painting things I see, things I imagine, and things I remember, in my own personal style.
I fell in love with watercolor because it provides the opportunity to paint with both fluidity and precision. My favorite subject matter includes natural, organic shapes in nature and life. I paint my perception of them, using colors that sing.
I express myself through the filter of my history, growing up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia as a little country girl who loved animals and nature.
